Rishi R. Khan is a highly experienced DevOps Engineer with over 13 years of relevant experience. Currently, he is pursuing his AWS certification while working as a Member of the Board of Directors at Windaid Institute. In his current role, he is developing a pilot remote education platform and curriculum that aims to empower underprivileged communities with access to education. Prior to this, Rishi worked as a Webmaster and Automation Developer at Windaid Institute, where he revamped the organization's website from outdated WordPress to modern and minimal with custom UX and development in React. He also served as the Head of Electronics and R&D Engineer at Windaid, where he developed cheap wind turbine technology to empower villages in Peru without access to electricity. He established the WindAid electronics division, engineered highly cost-effective solutions for mechanical, electrical, electronic, and process system upgrades, and designed, programmed, and tested a cost-effective and open-source modular solar/wind controller with max power point tracking technology. Rishi has also led a team of three to develop modular motherboard architecture for an open-source wind turbine controller with the NGO, Wind Empowerment. He developed arudino programs and Linux scripts for remote monitoring, data logging, wind, and power sensing. Rishi holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Sustainable Energy from the University of Toronto. He also holds a Graduate Certificate in Space Studies (Grad Cert. Spa. Stu.) from the University of South Australia and has completed the Southern Hemisphere Space Studies Program (SH-SSP) from the International Space University. Rishi is well-versed in DevOps, AWS, SRE, QA, Python, and Flask. He is a highly motivated individual with a passion for using technology to empower communities and make a positive impact on the world.
